Welcome to the Nebraska One Call Statewide Notification Center
Digger’s Hotline of Nebraska

In 1994, the Nebraska Legislature passed a law called The One-Call Notification System Act. It can be found in the Revised Statutes of Nebraska from Sections 76-2301 to 76-2330. The law states that everyone who excavates or disturbs the surface of the ground in the State of Nebraska, must first contact Digger’s Hotline 2 business days in advance to have all underground utilities located. This legislation includes, but is not limited too: Contractors, homeowners and personal property owners.

Similar "Call Before you Dig" Legislation is found across the United States, however, the individual laws vary on a State by State basis. Due to the variance of the individual State Laws, we at Digger’s Hotline of Nebraska encourage you to visit the "State Law" link found on this website to review the Nebraska Statutes. Also available, at no cost, is the Nebraska Digger’s Manual. The information contained in this manual will help you understand the Nebraska One Call Law and the operation of Digger’s Hotline of Nebraska. To request copies of the Nebraska Digger’s Manual please visit our promotional items link on this website.

"Tricks of the Trade" for Digging in Nebraska:
