Troop Leader, Scott Eichelberger, spent the months of May, June and July 48 hours ahead of the Troop, placing locate requests via the internet with Digger’s Hotline of Nebraska. By doing so, Mr. Eichelberger had ensured the safety of the Troop and the integrity of the underground utilities by allowing for the 48 hour waiting period to have all the utilities in the designated areas safely marked. By the end of July, 136 locate requests had been placed for the flag pole receivers in the community of Geneva.
Digger’s Hotline of Nebraska and all stakeholders involved in underground damage prevention salute the Boy Scouts of Geneva and their Leadership in taking an active role towards community pride, public safety and underground damage prevention.
